​MedGen Healthcare Ireland are currently recruiting for a number of Social Care Worker positions in County Kilkenny and surrounding counties, supporting individuals with diverse needs in residential, community, and day service settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to service users, promoting independence and personal development

  • Support service users with daily living activities, including personal care, education, employment, and leisure activities

  • Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with organisational policies

  • Work collaboratively with families, multi-disciplinary teams, and external agencies

  • Promote safeguarding and advocate for service users’ rights

Essential Requirements:

  • QQI Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care or related discipline (e.g., Social Work, Youth Work) OR Valid CORU Registration / Ongoing Registration Application

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, or complex needs

  • Full clean driving licence (desirable)

  • Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
